Top issues during term (2)(Parks Recreation)
Outsourcing Aquatic Center operations in the 2027 budget
The proposed operating budget would grow by $71,645, but projected revenue rises by $76,000 — a modest $4,355 net gain on the pool's budget line, with possibly more savings once freed-up city staff time is counted.
skate park closure
The city might save a little on upkeep, but skaters lose a free place to go and officials could face pressure to fund a replacement.
